A hexagonal shaped medal presented to Joanna Stetson Simpson by the Boston School Committee for "superior scholarship." Simpson was a Boylston School student in the Fort Hill district of Boston, Massachusetts. The Marquis de Lafayette gave the address and presented the medals.

Citywide Coordinating Council records

Abstract

Citywide Coordinating Council (CCC) records are the institutional files of the independent, autonomous body created by the courts to oversee desegregation in Boston Public Schools, 1975-1978. Records of the Council include meeting minutes, reports, court documents, correspondence, newspaper clippings, monitoring forms, statistics, and publications. The materials document both the activities of the Council and the process of desegregation of Boston's public schools.

Padraic Colum typescripts and letter

Scope and Contents The collection includes two typescripts and a single letter by Padraic Colum. The letter was written in 1927 to M.J. Fitzsimons, SJ, of Boston College. The typescripts are of Colum's plays: Timbuktu (1953) and Kilmore (1966). Timbuktu includes additions and deletions in Colum's own hand. Scope and Contents Comprised of a variety of Jesuit and Jesuit influenced texts, including early exercises, Jesuit rules, and unknown Jesuit texts.
